Yet another example of a “man of God” abusing his power and leading a double life…
Cnews reported today that an 18-year-old Canadian woman says Daniel Cormier, “the head of an obscure Christian church in Montreal” began sexually abusing her when she was just nine years old.
Crazy Cormier is claiming he married the girl on her [...]

Self-proclaimed prophets are nothing new, and the sheeple who follow them never cease to amaze me.

And now we can add Pyotr Kuznetsov to the list: a 43-year-old Russian engineer who left [...]

Sister Barbara Markey, N.D., Ph.D., could face up to 20 years in prison for stealing over $300,000 from the Omaha Archdiocese.
She pleaded guilty yesterday, and admits to having gambled most of the money away, while using the rest for gifts and trips.
Curiously, a June 30, 2007 article in the Omaha-World Herald, says Ms. Markey was [...]

The national bird of New Zealand is the Kiwi.
Kiwis live in the ground, are almost blind, lay just one egg each year, and can’t fly. And yet, this endangered species has managed to survive for more than 70 million years. (Yes, all you silly Young Earth Creationists—70 million years!)
This little cutie is a North Island [...]

“Anyone who doesn’t take truth seriously in small matters cannot be trusted in large ones either.” –Albert Einstein
“For the great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie—deliberate, contrived and dishonest—but the myth, persistent, persuasive and unrealistic. Too often we hold fast to the clichés of our forbears. We subject all facts to [...]

Well… yet another “memoire” writer has been outed for making stuff up.
Misha Defonseca’s book, Misha: A Memoire of the Holocaust Years (also called Survivre avec les loups), tells of her horrific childhood during the Holocaust, of how the Nazis seized her parents, of how she wandered the forests and villages of Europe for four years [...]

A baby Indian girl survived after falling through the metal tube of a train’s toilet and spending almost 1 1/2 hours lying on the tracks.
The infant’s mother, 33-year-old Bhuri Kalbi, was traveling to a medical appointment with relatives, when she unexpectedly gave birth in the train’s washroom and lost consciousness.
When her family checked on her [...]
