Canada’s current—and virtually meaningless—animal cruelty laws have been on the books since 1892!
Animals are not recognized as sentient beings, and those without “owners,” such as strays and wild animals, are not protected at all!
In other words, any psycho can pick up a stray cat or dog and torture it, without any repercussions, whatsoever.

Looks like Motari isn’t the only one who enjoys tormenting little puppies.
Judge for yourself…

Rumour has it that David Motari has admitted to killing the puppy.
I don’t know if it’s true or not, but he allegedly said this on his MySpace page:
“I want to clear somethings up before tomarrow. This might be hard to believe but I am sorry about the dog. At the time I just really didn’t [...]

Following the uproar over a US marine’s alleged animal cruelty, I thought I’d share the following video for a change of pace.
It was posted on YouTube on July 20, 2007 by “pocbloc,” with the headline: “US Troops Shoot Iraqi Kids!!!” and the descriptor, “WARCRIME!”
As you can well imagine, the video received thousands of hits.
Nice to [...]

Further to my previous post… something I didn’t notice when I originally watched the puppy tossing video, is that the second marine outs the first by saying, “That was mean, Motari.”
Crime and Federalism blogger has posted this photo of David Motari, the alleged puppy killer:
Sure looks like the same guy!

A user going by the name of “johnstonkim” posted a disturbing video on YouTube, showing a smiling US marine tossing an innocent puppy off a cliff in Iraq.
Some are thinking the video might be a hoax, but it certainly looks real.
The video, which appears to be shot with a cell phone, has already been removed from YouTube; [...]

If Osama Bin Laden’s son can speak out against violence, there’s certainly hope for the rest of humanity.
Twenty-six-year-old, Omar Bin Laden, is one of 19 children fathered by the man, allegedly, responsible for the World Trade Center attacks of September 11, 2001.
Omar works as a contractor, and lives in the ‘burbs, just an hour outside Cairo, [...]
